The Blackpool Panthers are looking to enter an Under 18’s team in the Gillette National Youth 2010/11 competition, which will run from November to April. The competition will have teams from across the UK and include entries as far South Wales and Hemel Hempstead in the south to Gateshead in the North.
As you can imagine this will be a great opportunity for our local players and coaches to develop their skills and is an excellent pathway to the Panthers professional team. The Panthers under 18’s team are currently in promising talks with Blackpool Council to base myself to the Blackpool Stanley Park Arena.

Blackpool Panthers V Widnes Vikings Sunday’s game has been called off because of the weather this week. Fylde Rugby Union has had a pitch inspection this afternoon with two RFU referees for their game on Saturday.
The referees came to a decision and said the pitch is unplayable due to the frozen pitch and surrounding area. Panthers Players will not be training at Fylde on Saturday morning due to the pitch. The game will probably be rescheduled because both teams have busy fixtures coming up. |

Blackpool Panthers have a late addition to their 2010 squad before Championship One kick's off. Paul has put pen to paper with the Panthers and has singed from Superleague Club (Celtic) Crusaders. Paul has a lot of experience on the wing in Superleague and will add a lot to the squad.
Paul’s first season at the Crusaders ended with Paul playing a telling role in the team, mainly from the wing where he used his speed and evasion to great advantage. He ran in 26 tries in 27 appearances to place him second on the try-scoring charts for the club in 2007. He carried on with his fine record last year, scoring 14 tries. |
